What is Governance?

The directors of a company, trustees of a trust or the management committee of an incorporated society are the governors of an organisation. They are there to act in the best interests of the shareholders and the organisation as a whole and good governance is the mechanism that ensures this is happening. Without sound governance practice, serious difficulties can arise.

As a director or trustee you will want to know that you are fulfilling your obligations and doing the best for your shareholders.

This is an opportunity open to all people to learn Māori custom and culture in a traditional learning environment and from acknowledged New Zealand based Māori scholars, a learning opportunity that cannot be missed!

Cost: $150.00 AUD per person per wānanga. Costs include meals and training resources.
